Skills and qualities to be highlighted on your Baker CV / resume
As a Baker you will need to highlight qualities that show you are passionate about high quality baking, friendly, and capable of early starts, trained in Food Hygiene, and physically fit.
Include action words that highlight these qualities in your personal profile – and reinforce this by giving examples both in the Key Skills section and also under Duties in the Employment Summary section of your CV / resume.
Skills and experience that you should highlight include:
- Knowledge of baking: preferably in a professional environment. (If you are applying for a trainee or apprentice post, stress your interest and give examples. “I make / help make all the special occasion cakes for my family and friends”)
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Examples of team working
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Relevant training
- Qualifications
It is also important to remember that as a Baker you may be required to work unsociable hours. deal with difficult, pressurised situations; especially if you are serving customers as well as baking.
